What the infrastructure does
Hosting By Design is the outlier on network provisioning. A 1 Gbps uplink, against a market where 10 Gbps is the floor and 50 Gbps is common, is a meaningful gap — and at $14 the price does not reflect it.
What the offer is really selling is support and a managed experience, with a German location option that few competitors match.
The provider moved from hostingbydesign.com to hostingby.design in 2026; the old domain no longer resolves. If you have an older bookmark or a saved affiliate link, it is dead — the site itself is fine.
If throughput is anywhere near the top of your list, the numbers point elsewhere. If you want a provider that answers when you write in, and your transfers are modest, the calculation is different.
