RapidSeedbox and DediSeedbox Alternatives: Who Actually Matches Them

RapidSeedbox and DediSeedbox sell the same promise: a 10 Gbps port with traffic that is never metered. That one line is what you are replacing when you look for an alternative, and most of the market does not offer it. The cheaper boxes you will find sell more disk per dollar and cap what you can upload. Whether that is a better deal depends entirely on why you are leaving.

So this comparison starts from the reasons people actually move, not from a ranking. Prices are the monthly rates from SeedboxCompare's price check of 1 November 2026, listed in each provider's own currency; the per-terabyte column converts everything to US dollars at the ECB rate of 30 October 2026 (€1 = $1.1172, £1 = $1.3399).

What you have today

DediSeedbox Starter$10750 GB13.33UnmeteredPlex, Emby, Jellyfin included
DediSeedbox Pro$305 TB6.00UnmeteredSame network as Starter
RapidSeedbox Lean Swift$91 TB9.00UnmeteredTorrent clients only, no Plex
RapidSeedbox Lean Supreme$152 TB7.50UnmeteredTorrent clients only, no Plex
RapidSeedbox Premium Stream$332.2 TB15.00UnmeteredDedicated VPS, root access, Plex

Two details in that table explain most of the searches for alternatives.

DediSeedbox runs from one country. Every plan sits in the Netherlands. The specification does not change between tiers — 10 Gbps unmetered, WireGuard and OpenVPN, the same 50-odd one-click apps — only the disk grows. If the Netherlands is the wrong place for your peers or your streaming, no tier fixes it.

RapidSeedbox splits its range in two. The Lean plans are cheap and unmetered but run torrent clients only: no Plex. The Premium plans add a dedicated VPS with root and Plex, and cost twice as much per terabyte. Many people searching for an alternative to RapidSeedbox are really looking for Plex without paying the Premium price.

Read the traffic column before the price column. Five of the six cost less per terabyte than anything in the first table, and four of them pay for it with a quota. Ten terabytes of upload a month sounds like a lot until you seed a few popular releases: a 4 TB library turned over twice and seeded to a ratio of one is already 8 TB. On an unmetered plan that is a non-event. On a 10 TB quota it is most of the month.

The two exceptions sit at opposite ends. Appbox keeps traffic unmetered at about $4 per terabyte, but on a 10 Gbps port in a single European location. Feral Hosting is unmetered on a 20 Gbps network in the Netherlands and the UK, and charges more than twice DediSeedbox Pro per terabyte for it.

Pick by the reason you are leaving

You want more disk for the same money. Before switching provider, check the top of your current one. DediSeedbox Pro at $30 for 5 TB is $6 per terabyte, still unmetered, and a cheaper terabyte than RapidSeedbox Lean Supreme. If a quota is acceptable, Ultra.cc Tin and Whatbox H3-4 give about 4 TB for $16 or less; Hosting By Design's 4 TB box is cheaper still, but its listed prices exclude VAT, so add your country's rate before comparing.

You need another location. This is the strongest reason to leave DediSeedbox. RapidSeedbox lists five locations (the Netherlands, France, Germany, the US and Singapore), Ultra.cc three (the Netherlands, Canada, Singapore), Whatbox three (the Netherlands, the US, Singapore). Of these, RapidSeedbox is the only one that keeps traffic unmetered — the move costs you nothing on the line that defined DediSeedbox.

You want Plex without RapidSeedbox Premium. DediSeedbox includes Plex, Emby and Jellyfin from its $10 Starter plan, unmetered, which makes it the most direct answer. GigaRapid, Ultra.cc and Whatbox also run Plex on their regular plans; check transcoding limits before you buy, because a shared box that runs Plex is not the same as a box that transcodes several 4K streams. Our seedbox vs VPS comparison covers when a dedicated VPS is genuinely worth it.

You seed heavily. Stay unmetered. That leaves the two providers you are comparing, Appbox, and Feral Hosting. Moving between RapidSeedbox Lean and DediSeedbox is mostly a question of Plex and location; Appbox is the cheapest unmetered terabyte on the list; Feral is the expensive option you pay for its network.

One thing to check before you migrate

Stock. GigaRapid lists fourteen plans and had three of them on sale at the November check: every entry tier from Eco to Basic was sold out, and so were most of the large ones. A plan that cannot be ordered is not an alternative. Look at the order page, not the pricing table, before you plan a move around it.

The cost of switching is not the price difference. Moving a few terabytes is a weekend of rsync, plus a re-download of whatever you lose on the way. If your current provider still fits after a tier change, that is usually the cheaper answer.
